LABIAPLASTY

Achieve comfort and confidence
You’re not alone if you are a woman with concerns about the size, shape or definition of their labia or intimate area. The appearance of the vaginal tissue is affected by genetics, ageing, or, most frequently, childbirth. For women looking to address aesthetic or functional concerns of the intimate area, Dr. Sarah and Vanessa Wong offer Labiaplasty at W Plastic Surgery. A Labiaplasty is a quick and straightforward surgical procedure to restore and enhance the labia.

Could this procedure be
right for you?

A W Plastic Surgery consultation is the best way to determine if you are a good candidate for Labiaplasty. The surgery is ideal for patients who experience functional issues such as irritation during sexual intercourse or physical activities due to the size of their labia. It is also suited for patients who feel self-conscious or distressed about the appearance of their labia and intimate area.

How is this procedure performed?

During a Labiaplasty, Dr. Sarah and Vanessa Wong will reduce the excess skin of the labia. The technique depends on the patient, their goals and the current amount of excess skin. There are two main types of incisions, the trim and the wedge.

Trim

This Labiaplasty incision is ideal for women whose labia minora is slightly larger than the labia majora. The excess edges of the labia minora are trimmed to create a proportional appearance. The edges are then sutured, and incision lines are hidden on the crease of the labia.

Wedge

A wedge incision involves the removal of a wedge-shaped piece of tissue from the central part of the labia. The two edges of the triangular-shaped incision are sutured together for a reduction in the size of the labia.

When do you see the results?

The results of Labiaplasty surgery become more and more apparent after 3-6 months of healing. As swelling and temporary discolouration reduce, a more shapely and aesthetically pleasing appearance can be seen. Women who experience functional issues feel more comfortable. Many patients feel that their surgery gives them more confidence in intimate situations and prefer their pinker and more vibrant colour.
