BREAST LIPOFILLING

Body contouring with enhanced breast size
Being confident about your appearance goes hand in hand with achieving a look that matches how you want to feel. We understand that accentuating the feminine curves of the body can help accomplish this, which is why many patients choose lipofilling at W Plastic Surgery. By increasing breast size and refining the natural shape of other essential areas, such as the abdomen, waistline and thighs, Dr. Sarah and Vanessa Wong can use breast lipofilling to help you feel more feminine and proportional.

Could this procedure be
right for you?

A consultation at W Plastic Surgery is the best way to determine if you are a good candidate for breast lipofilling, also known as an autologous fat transfer to the breasts. Ideally, lipofilling candidates are near a healthy body weight that makes them feel confident and happy. It is essential that you have some excess fat tissue available for harvesting. It is also important that you are not planning to lose a significant amount of weight in the future, as this will affect long-term results. Lipofilling suits patients who want a subtle enhancement of about half a cup to one full cup size larger.

How is this procedure performed?

Lipofilling involves removing fat from a donor area using liposuction. It is then processed to remove any impurities and collect the most viable fat for transfer. Once prepared, Dr. Sarah and Vanessa Wong will inject it into the breasts to restore volume and enhance your shape/firmness.

With a lipofilling technique, patients can avoid complications related to breast implants, such as capsular contracture, deformity, or rupture. This is because the body does not react to autologous fat as it does to a foreign object like a breast implant. It is not recommended that breast implants be kept over a whole lifetime, whereas fat that has been transferred successfully to the breasts should remain there permanently.

One of the most desirable benefits of breast lipofilling is the added definition that patients see in the donor area. Often the fat being transferred to the breasts is collected from the abdomen, inner and outer thighs, and back. The new definition and shape given to these areas can improve your silhouette and overall body proportions to accentuate your lipofilling results with tighter, more refined contours!

When do you see the results?

During the lipofilling recovery, some transplanted fat tissue will fail to graft. This is always something Dr. Vanessa and Sarah Wong account for to achieve your desired breast volume. Any fat that fails to graft is naturally reabsorbed by the body, meaning your initial results may look “overfilled” until this healing process is complete. Lipofilling can improve your shape and add volume to precise areas of the breasts, such as the cleavage and side breasts.
