Many men and women experience sagging upper arms due to weight fluctuations, the natural aging process, and genetics. This can affect your body confidence and self-esteem and cause functional issues when looking for clothing or chafing when exercising. Fortunately, at W Plastic Surgery, we offer Arm Lift Surgery to address excess skin and create a smooth and slender contour.

Could this procedure be
right for you?

A W Plastic Surgery consultation is the best way to determine if you are a good candidate for Arm Lift surgery. Patients looking to have this surgery have loose and redundant skin that affects the upper arm. They should be at a stable weight that can be maintained through their current lifestyle and have realistic expectations about what this surgery can achieve. You must be in generally good health and have no severe medical conditions that could affect healing.

How is this procedure performed?

During an Arm Lift, Dr. Sarah and Vanessa Wong will reduce extra skin, tighten and smooth tissue, and remove excess fat. Liposuction can be combined with your arm lift to remove excessive fat and help contour the shape. To begin the procedure, incisions are made along the underside of the arm. Any excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is draped more tightly before being sutured into place. Three primary incisions/ techniques may be used for your arm lift.

Mini Arm Lift

A mini arm lift has a shorter scar than a traditional arm lift. This type of incision can address moderate degrees of skin laxity. The incision is located in the armpit and is well concealed after surgery.

Traditional Arm Lift

A traditional Arm Lift incision is located on the inner side of the upper arm. The incision runs from the armpit to the elbow.

Extended Arm Lift

An Extended Arm Lift is best for patients who have undergone massive weight loss. The incision extends from the elbow, along the underside of the arm, all the way to the side of the chest wall.
