During an Arm Lift, Dr. Sarah and Vanessa Wong will reduce extra skin, tighten and smooth tissue, and remove excess fat. Liposuction can be combined with your arm lift to remove excessive fat and help contour the shape.
To begin the procedure, incisions are made along the underside of the arm. Any excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is draped more tightly before being sutured into place. Three primary incisions/ techniques may be used for your arm lift.
Mini Arm Lift
A mini arm lift has a shorter scar than a traditional arm lift. This type of incision can address moderate degrees of skin laxity. The incision is located in the armpit and is well concealed after surgery.
Traditional Arm Lift
A traditional Arm Lift incision is located on the inner side of the upper arm. The incision runs from the armpit to the elbow.
Extended Arm Lift
An Extended Arm Lift is best for patients who have undergone massive weight loss. The incision extends from the elbow, along the underside of the arm, all the way to the side of the chest wall.
